Selling your book on Amazon can be a great way to make money.

I've always wanted to have some mini income, not burdened by time and amount of work, in the overall account - almost passive.

All that needs to be said is that you will be required to register, figure out how the site works and customize it for yourself (PE), material (you need a little creativity so that you are not shut down by "Big Companies" for plagiarism, and of course, a little patience. 

Detailed instructions on how to prepare and register on the site:

1. Book Preparation:

Make sure your book is formatted according to Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) standards. Amazon provides formatting guidelines. Create a beautiful cover for your book. This will catch the attention of potential readers. A huge plus of a foreign target audience is the ability to pay.

2. Create an Amazon account:

Go to the Official Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) website.

If you already have an Amazon account, use its login details. Otherwise, create a new account. It's important to log in to the KDP site, not the amazon site. It is from the KDP site that all work is posted.

3. Adding a new book:

After logging into your account, select "Create a Kindle eBook" or "Create a Paperback" depending on which format you prefer.

Recently, there is an option to add your choice of paperback or hardcover.

4. Filling out information about the book:

Fill in the necessary information about the book.  Pay attention to the description - it is the face of the book.

5. Uploading content:

Upload your book file. Make sure it meets the formatting requirements listed on the KDP website.

6. Setting a price:

Select a price for your book. Keep Amazon commissions in mind and think about the competitiveness of your price in the marketplace. We advise you to gain popularity first - accordingly, you can choose a slightly lower price than the market average. (Scroll through Amazon's official site for the same stuff by category)

7. Distribution:

Choose the regions where you want to distribute your book. Typically, America.

8. Tax Registration:

During account creation, you will need to provide tax information. This may include a W-8BEN for foreign authors. If you are a US tax resident, provide the appropriate information. If you are a resident of countries such as Ukraine - Give a real "Checkpoint" number - it is very important to fill in the REAL information. Otherwise - you simply will not be paid. The money may simply not reach you, or you will not be found. 

In the first time however I will give advice - take into account where you live, and for example, in countries like Ukraine on earnings up to 100 dollars of taxes were not previously.

And already with a large % of earnings, respectively, there is virtually no difference, where in the sum of 30% of the proceeds - in your country or in America.

9. Review and publish:

Go to "Review your Kindle eBook" or "Review your Paperback". Make sure all the details are filled in correctly and preview how your book will look like on the Amazon page.

Click "Publish Your Kindle eBook" or "Publish Your Paperback" to complete the process.

10. Marketing:

Once published, do your marketing.

Important Notes:

Be aware of taxes and check the rules in your country. Different countries have different requirements for taxation of authorship income.

Regularly check sales and review statistics on the KDP page. Constantly add new material to become a popular author. Keep in mind that in America there are both Ukrainian-, Rus - linguistic, and Americans themselves, bringing the main income. Choose your target audience. Follow these steps and your book will become available to millions of readers on Amazon. Good luck with your promotion!
